FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why Tanzania?

Tanzania is consistently voted the best safari country in Africa. It is a politically stable, safe country with a focus on tourism. It also offers spectacular wildlife viewing in its many world-class game areas such as Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There are a wide range of choices for your safari or beach holiday, from low-budget to luxury options.

Why Elisam Tours?
Unlike many companies, at ElisamTours, we place our customers’ satisfaction above all else. We pride ourselves on providing a wide variety of high-quality, affordable (from just US$ 500) and personalised packages to clients from around the world. We usually provide several great offers which include up to 1 hour cultural tours as a way of giving to both our esteemed customers and the local community. We also further enhance our customers’ experience, by occasionally providing free and special lectures on nature, history and culture of Tanzania. As a Tanzanian organisation, we also have the sustainability of our country at heart, so you can be sure all our packages are environmentally, socially, and culturally responsible.
What Are Some Must-Knows For My Safari?

We highly recommend travel insurance for all trip members to cover accident, illness or baggage/property loss during their entire safari. Elisam tours will not be held responsible for any loss or damage that may occur during your trip.

Elisam Tours cannot guarantee a successful summit bid on a big mountain. Some mountain climbing tours may be incredibly difficult. It is your responsibility to be physically and mentally prepared for this challenge. Some individuals may not be able to complete this strenuous climb.

Though it is the company’s desire to ensure that every customer is satisfied by, among others, seeing certain attractions, such as wild animals, it is not guaranteed that this will always be possible. Due to unforeseeable, uncontrollable conditions that are out of our reach, including the unpredictability of nature, Elisomi tours cannot promise that these aspects of your tour will go as planned.

How Safe is Tanzania?

Most Tanzanians are remarkably honest and friendly. However, there are a small number of criminals, mostly from neighboring countries, who make their living from robbing tourists. Do not walk around the less frequented parts of the city in the night. It is safer to take a taxi or hotel bus into town rather than to walk. Keep an eye on your wallet and backpack. Money belts or passport carriers are a good idea.

Should I Tip?

Yes, tipping your safari guides is encouraged, and will be much appreciated. However, there is no specific amount, and this is not compulsory.

Does Elisam Tours Provide Arrival Briefing?

Yes! On arrival, you will meet the company representative who will give an overview of your activities, destination and any other relevant information about your safari.

When/How Can I Cancel My Package?

Elisam’s standard cancellation policy allows no full refunds for cancellations made less than 91 days before departure. Cancellation charges also depend on the terms provided by hotels and lodges where the booking was made. Please refer to our booking and cancellation policy

What If I Decide to Extend My Stay?

This would likely be possible, but we will have to review the charges to reflect the time and needs.
